These terms are the agreement between you (the business signing up) and Main Street Web Design (we and us). They cover your free sample, your website, hosting and the changes we make for you. By signing up, paying your setup fee or letting us launch your site, you agree to these terms. The plans and prices on our Pricing page are part of this agreement.
We send you a free sample of your site before you pay anything. Looking at it costs you nothing and you are under no obligation. If you decide not to go ahead, just tell us and we will take your sample down.
Every plan is a custom-designed website that looks right on phones and computers. It includes your domain name, a contact form, your hours, a map and a phone button, plus fast hosting with SSL, security updates and backups.
• Basic: up to 5 pages.
• Premium: up to 10 pages, with more complex page layouts and design.
We aim to launch your site about 2 business days after you sign up and pay your setup fee. That depends on getting what we need from you, like your business details, photos and text.
A domain name is your web address, like yourbusiness.com. One is included with every plan. When you sign up, we will offer you a few domain name options to choose from, or you can use a domain you already own or one you pick yourself. Domain names are first come, first served, so we cannot promise that a specific name is available.
• If we register your domain, we pay the registration and the yearly renewal for as long as you are our customer. There is no extra charge for a standard domain. If you want a premium or unusually priced name, we will tell you the cost before we register it.
• If you bring your own domain, you keep paying your registrar for it, and we will point it to your site. We may need you to give us access or make a small change at your registrar to do this. Either way, the domain stays yours.
• Setup is a one-time fee: $250 for Basic and $499 for Premium. It is paid before launch.
• The monthly fee is $99 for either plan. It is billed automatically each month. Your first monthly payment is due 30 days after your site launches.
• Prices do not include any taxes that may apply.
• If a payment fails, we will contact you. If it is not fixed within 14 days, we may pause your site until your account is up to date.
• Setup fees are not refundable once we have started building your site. Monthly fees are not refunded for partial months.
• If we ever change our prices, we will give you at least 30 days' notice before your next bill.
Every plan includes up to 1 hour of changes each month. A change is a small update, like new or fixed text, a new photo, new hours, or an updated menu or price list. Unused time does not carry over to the next month.
Bigger jobs, like adding pages or redesigning your site, are separate projects. If you need more than the included hour, just tell us. We will let you know the cost before we do any extra work.
These cost extra or come from someone else:
• Logo design and professional photography
• An online store or custom programming
• Paid advertising
Please give us accurate information about your business and keep it up to date. You promise that you have the right to use the text, photos, logos and other material you give us, and that it does not break the law or anyone else's rights. You are responsible for the claims you make on your site, like prices, licenses and service areas.
You own your business name, logo, photos, text and domain. We host and manage the site. The design, layout and code we build, and the tools we use to run your site, stay ours. While you are our customer, you may use your site for your business.
Your domain is yours. If we registered it for you, you can keep it when you cancel. We will help you move it to your own account or point it wherever you like, at no charge. After you cancel, you pay the yearly renewal to your registrar.
We may list your business as a customer and link to your finished site as an example of our work. Tell us if you would rather we did not.
There is no long-term contract. You can cancel any time by giving us 30 days' notice by phone, text or email. You pay through the end of that notice period and there is no cancellation fee. When you cancel, we give you a copy of your text and images.
We may also end the service with 30 days' notice. We may pause or end it right away if payment is not made, or if your site is being used for something illegal or harmful.
Your site must not contain anything illegal, misleading or harmful, or anything that breaks someone else's rights, and it must not be used to spread malware or spam. We may remove content or pause your site if it does.
We work hard to keep your site fast, secure and online, but we cannot promise it will never be interrupted. Some things are outside our control, like outages at your internet provider, your domain registrar or other services your site relies on. Those services have their own terms.
We provide the service as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for lost business, lost profits or other indirect losses. If something goes wrong because of us, our total responsibility is limited to the fees you paid us in the 3 months before the problem.
We may update these terms from time to time. If a change affects you, we will tell you at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you keep using the service after that, you accept the new terms. If you do not agree, you can cancel.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee. If something goes wrong, please call or text us first. Most problems are quick to fix.
